Birthing From Within™ Childbirth Education Classes
Birthing From Within™ is a system of holistic childbirth preparation that views pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period as a rite-of-passage for expecting parents. It's exercises are built on the foundation of self-discovery, encouraging couples to take an internal look at their greatest desires and fears related to childbirth. In doing so, couples begin to process this information and develop inner knowing and trust in the journey that they're about to embark on as new parents. Couples will be able to extract wisdom and a road map for the journey of birth, as well as for the postpartum period. As your guide, I will provide mentoring throughout these processes and also share practical information related to birth, as further outlined below.
Classes are typically taught in 5 week-long series, where we will meet for 1 day/week for 3 hours. Classes times and location can be determined upon reservation.
EACH FIVE-WEEK SERIES INCLUDES:
-Pain-coping techniques that mother can utilize
-Pain-coping techniques that your partner can offer
-Understanding the different stages of labor
-Practicing different labor positions
- Discussing optimal fetal positioning for labor and birth
-Exploring the different interventions and use of pain medication
-Coping skills for unplanned events in birth
-Creating a Postpartum plan, which includes how to care for the mother and baby post-birth

Monthly Mom's Meditation and Yoga Circle! I am a registered yoga teacher and have a deep desire to create and hold a quiet sanctuary for moms to come unwind, relax and restore themselves from the inside out with guided meditation, gentle restorative yoga postures that promote relaxation, and an opportunity to share in community with other moms.

Want to try yoga but don't know where to start? Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Students perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Students can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. This can be especially supportive in the third trimester. Benefits include increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction.
